Hi, I’m Alise.
I’m an operations person — the one who gets into the weeds so you don’t have to. I nerd out on task management and project templates. For almost two decades, I’ve been the quiet, dependable infrastructure behind small, mission-driven teams. I build systems, manage relationships, and keep the wheels turning so creative people with big dreams can thrive in their work. I bring order without the overhead of a full-time hire, with tailored support for what you actually need.
My favorite part of this work is the moment when someone says, “You made this so much less stressful” or “I feel such a weight lifted from my shoulders.” That’s always my goal: to make your life easier so you can focus on the reason you started this work in the first place.
When I’m not untangling someone’s workflow, I’m likely on an adventure with my family in our home outside Charlotte, NC. When our little tornado gets tucked into bed, you can find me with a book, standing over the stove with a glass of wine, or enjoying some prestige television with my husband. I write about how I spend that my limited personal free time on my Substack, Napp Time.
A few things I’ve built…
I spent 8+ years as the Managing Director of Pantsuit Politics, an award-winning national politics podcast. I was the operational backbone of our team. I managed partnerships, live and virtual events, content execution, subscriber relationships, and so much more.
Highlights:
Migrated 4,000+ subscribers from Patreon to Substack with clear communication, high retention, and an increase in high-dollar donors.
Helped grow the show to #33 on its Substack industry leaderboard and achieve multiple awards, including one of Apple Podcasts Podcasts of the Year (2022)
Built a searchable content archive spanning 11+ years of episodes with both internal- and external-facing versions.
I spent 3+ years as a Project Manager at a higher-education consulting firm where I coordinated multi-year engagements helping institutions write and implement strategic plans. I worked with presidents, cabinets, and boards across the country from vision through campus-wide execution.
Highlights:
Brought 15+ strategic plans to life and supported 20+ enrollment offices.
Prepared communications for dozens of presidents, boards, and leadership teams.
Beyond that: I've chaired my local Housing Authority board, managed graphic design and marketing projects for a university team, as well as written curriculum for and taught university courses. My diverse experience gives me the kind of range that helps me step into almost any operation and find my footing fast.
